THE PRESENT STATE AND PERSPECTIVE FOR THE LIBRARIES OF THE FEDERAL CENTRES OF TECHNOLOGICAL EDUCATION IN RELATION TO THE NEW TECHNOLOGIES OF INFORMATION

Abstract

The present article presents the results of research carried out in the libraries of Federal Centres of Technological Education (CEFETs), with the purpose of analysing these libraries in relation to the new information technologies. The data reveal positive and negative aspects and the implications and perspectives with regard to the employment of technological resources in the libraries studied. Finally, suggestions are presented which deal with the acquisition and implantation of new information technologies in libraries and services of information.
