Abstract

This article deals with information as a scientific and technological instrument in the post-modern age, specifically in Brazil and presents a discussion about post-modernity and the influence of IS & T in this context. It analyses the National Plans of Development in relation to information policies in Brazil and emphasises the breadth of concern in eash National Plan with the question of information.
