ACCESS AND PRESERVATION OF THE “COLLECTION OFICINA GUAIANASES DE GRAVURA”

Abstract

This paper discuss the issue of preservation and access to information by means of digital format of litographies, produced by Pernambuco artists at “Oficina Guaianases de Gravura”, during 70 and 90 decades, through the Art and Technology Project: preserving records. The search made possible to get into a very important collection about the history of artistic records of Pernambuco, on XX century. Nowadays the collection is located at Joaquim Cardozo Library, at “Universidade Federal de Pernambuco” and represents a post of artistic work of brazilian lithographies, which conserve as an important tool for teaching, as base for search in the area of arts history, as well as information source for general community.
