Abstract

The traditional concept of library as a public or private book collections and documents alike, organized with the purpose of studies, readings and researching is presented as a parameter to the products and services offered by Digital Libraries. In this work it is analyzed both matters concerning preservation, access and legibility of digital documents and the availability of informational resources towards the new characteristics the Digital Library may show.
