The concept of information in Information Science

Abstract

This article presents the results of a research where we tried to see the manifestations of the three concepts of information found in Information Science in different subareas of this science. For a definition of subareas were used ANCIB working groups. After identifying and analyzing these events, it is concluded by the importance of integrating theoretical advances obtained in all cases, in order to assess the overall progress of the accumulated knowledge of information science over the past five decades.
