Abstract

With the corresponding advent of the InterNet and its technologies, it become recurrent the questionings on the freedom and on the control in the net. The promises, derived from the relations weaved in the net, point to an important instrument of controversy and idealisation: hipertext. The present paper has aims to analyze some differences and similarities between codex and the screen, examining to the relative questions to the hipertextual reading. Thus being, we think the tensions between the figures of the author and the reader, and between the creativity and the control. We see that with the emergency of the hipertext, a certain politics of resistance to the authorial figure become evident, through the idea of co-authorship on the part of the reader. However, the digital commerce uses, as much the author notion, how much of proper hipertext, to capture reading and, to become it tax the desires of the market. Hipertext in the hands of the commerce is transformed by the constructed architectures of control into the net. In this way, we observe in this paper that the freedom - as in the universe of books - is not given with the sprouting of the net, therefore it must every day be reinvented, conjugating technology and creativity.
