SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTIVITY EVALUATION OF THE RESEARCHERS IN THE HUMAN AND APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCES AREAS

Abstract

Research about the bibliographical production of professors of Human and Applied Social Sciences of the main public universities of the South of Brazil with research grants. We consider the researchers that have this kind of grant delivered by CNPq (Brazilian National Council of Scientific Research), as the elite researchers of the country. In this perspective, this paper analyzes if the indicators established by ISI-JCR (Information Sciences Institute-Journal Citation Reports) and by Capes-Qualis (Brazilian Council for University Education-Brazilian scientific periodical ranking) qualify the scientific productivity in these areas of knowledge.
