Abstract

This work studied the Open Journal Systems (OJS) acceptance through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The selected group were users with author role registered in the scientific electronic journal Informação & Sociedade: estudos. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument; it was developed and applied with the support of free software LimeSurvey. A total number of 373 journal users were invited to participate in the research. The questionnaires received had their data summarized and processed through several statistics techniques. The more predominant technique was the factor analysis. The analysis data revealed that the perceived ease of use is the element that best explains the use of OJS by its users.
