O que ofuscam as luzes da modernidade? O controle disciplinar e a formação de grupos vulneráveis no Brasil.

Abstract

The present work has as its scope, without the pretension of containing the debate and safeguarding the existence of other current factors of the Brazilian history, the outline of some ideological-cultural conditions, widespread to the post-seventeenth-century western world which contributed to the formation of vulnerable groups in Brazil. Thus, it is opted to interpose in the speeches and in the practices of the Modernity, being evidenced the "deliquent" image, to analyze the manner as they foment conceptions capable to contribute, in Brazil, with the formation of groups of people vulnerable to rights violations in the society place due to their condition or state, especially for gender and sexuality; of race/ethnicity; of generations according to children, adolescents and seniors whom are disrespected issues; as well as, concerning situations to people with deficiency. As instrument of this examination, the categories of discipline control of Michel Foucault and Domestic State accepted by Boaventura de Sousa Santos and Jurandir Malerba have been used.
