Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished and is not being evaluated for publication elsewhere, otherwise shall be justified in "comments to the editor ".

  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word , OpenOffice or RTF format.
  • URLs for the references have been provided where possible.
  • The text is 1,5 spaced, using a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); figures and tables are placed within the text, not at the end of the document as attachments.
  • Files in original format (R, SPSS, Stata, Excel, for example) of the graphics used in the manuscript will be submitted as supplementary documents

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines (http://periodicos.ufpb.br/ojs2/index.php/ricri/about/submissions#authorGuidelines).
  • Instructions available on evaluation by ensuring blind review were followed.

Author Guidelines

1. Title: English

2. Summary: the problem addressed, the methods used and the main findings in English should be described;

3. Keywords: There must be at least three and at most five in English;

4. The article must be submitted in Word.doc or compatible format;

5. Sheet Size: A4;

6. Source: Times New Roman;

7 . Font size of the text: 12;

8 . Font size of abstracts and footnotes: 10;

9. Spacing: 1.5 in body text and simple for abstract and footnotes;

10 . Margins: 3.0 cm left and top, right and bottom 2.5;

11 . Papers should not exceed 60.000 characters with spaces, references included;

12 . Reviews should be limited to 15.000 characters;

13. The research notes should be limited to 30.000 characters with spaces, references included;

14. Direct quote up to three lines should come in the text;

15 . Direct quotation of more than three lines should come highlighted in the text with a drop of 4cm , font size 10 and single spacing;

16. Mentions of the authors in the text should follow the format: (Author , year) or (Author, Year : Page). The latter being mandatory for direct quotations;

17. References should come only at the end of the article and in alphabetical order;

18 . References should follow these format:

18.2. Part of Book:

18.3. Journal:

HUDSON, Valerie. (2005), “Foreign Policy Analysis: Actor-Specific Theory and the Ground of International Relations”. Foreign Policy Analysis, vol. 1, No.1, pp. 1-21.

19. The URLs for the references should be informed when necessary;

20. Information (s) of author (s): Full name , institutional affiliation, email, phone number, complete address. Remember that this information must be submitted on the first page of the submitted file.

 

Artigos

Esta seção se dedica à publicação de artigos originais na área de relações internacionais, com até 60.000 caracteres.

Notas de Pesquisa

Esta seção se destina a divulgação de notas de pesquisa, trabalhos em andamento com resultados preliminares mas ainda inconclusos. Trata-se de um texto mais enxuto, até 30.000 caracteres, cujo objetivo central é a divulgação de resultados inconclusos, desenhos de pesquisa, problemáticas relevantes para a área, apontamentos sobre a agenda de pesquisa na área, apreciação de um método, entre outras formas semelhantes.

Resenhas

Esta seção se dedica a publicação de resenhas na área de relações internacionais. O limite do texto é de 15.000 caracteres. São aceitas resenhas sobre livros e artigos na área de relações internacionais, não havendo restrição temporal das obras. Espera-se que a resenha possa estabelecer um diálogo entre a obra analisada e a literatura pertinente.
