A Belt and Road Initiative e seus impactos na governança global no contexto de avaliação de cenários prospectivos

Abstract

The People's Republic of China, after opening up its economy, has been implementing its foreign policy criteria, in which one of the constitutive elements is the peaceful construction of partnerships with countries interested in the establishment of fruitful trade relations, for that, it launched in 2013 the bold Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) project. To make it viable, it has been providing substantial financial resources in countries, initially, located in Eurasia, with the purpose of creating and improving infrastructure, which must be accessed and, sometimes, managed by the Asian country itself, in order to fulfill its desire. by the establishment of commercial routes that allow the flow of its manufactured products, including, with greater ease and lower costs. In this scope, the present work, through a bibliographic review, proposes to identify the possible impacts of this initiative from the perspective of global governance, identifying some of the possible questions that must be faced by the Asian country to achieve its claim on a world scale, in an approach that brings an assessment of prospective scenarios for the next ten years, according to the variables chosen from among those considered most aligned with the theme.
