The Sword in The Stone: The border between fantasy and reality
Abstract
L'articolo esamina il tema delle spade conficcate divise in tre gruppi: leggendari, manufatti storici e ricerca archeologica. Le spade leggendarie e storiche sono la Spada nella Roccia di Re Artù, la spada Gram di Sigurd, la Durendal di Orlando, la spada di Galgano Guidotti e le spade rinvenute durante gli scavi archeologici di Salme e Köping. L’articolo tenta di esaminarne la storia e il significato simbolico. Viene fatto un confronto nelle loro trame, prestando attenzione da un lato alle somiglianze e ai punti di contatto di qualcuno in termini storici.
