Abstract

The challenge to be faced by education in current times concerns the possibility of developing an education for the future in which the student can know and use digital media in the classroom, becoming effective in relation to selection, storage, retrieval and use of information. The objective of this work is to analyze the use of digital media in the school environment, in two schools, one public and one private, in Fortaleza, with a view to verifying the impacts arising from their use. Exploratory-descriptive research was used, from the point of view of its objectives and quantitative-qualitative in relation to the way of approaching the problem. As a data collection instrument, participant observation was chosen.

It was also chosen to apply a questionnaire to teachers. It was observed that the resistance of some teachers to refrain from using these technological resources is still considerable. They feel short of new developments in the education market and refuse to use digital media as a source for the formation of knowledge, either because they do not feel motivated to seek knowledge, or because they resist accepting the speed of information and the consequences. of these transformations.
