KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES APPLIED IN AN INNOVATION-INTENSIVE COMPANY
Abstract
The speed of changes applied to technology, processes, and people is altering our social, economic, and business behavior. This research aims to identify, through a qualitative and applied case study, the knowledge management practices used by an innovation-oriented company. Data collection was carried out using multiple sources of information, such as direct observation, consultation of records and documents, and the application of questionnaires. A questionnaire was applied to evaluate the knowledge management and innovation management processes, with the participation of 33 respondents among professionals in the research, development, and innovation (R&D&I) area of the company studied. Data analysis used the method of comparing information gathered from questionnaires, data collected in the field, records, and documents. The results indicate that the company is close to consolidating its maturity level regarding common project management processes, proving that the company uses the practices presented in this research, thus contributing to the results recognized by employees regarding the innovation management practices implemented by the company.
