The photographic records presented here were made at the Federal Institute of Paraíba, campus Jaguaribe, as one of the activities carried out by PIBID Sociologia 2018/2019 and had as its main objective to reflect how the relations take place in the school environment. Beyond that, the records revealed a set of limitations for these relationships to happen. The gates, bars and fences lead students to experience their moments of leisure, rest and extra-class study, almost always in the corridors and courtyards. There is no university restaurant, study spaces where they can talk to each other and places where they can recover from the whole day's activities. In order to overcame these problems, they improvise beds, tables and boards, while they dream and fight for the school they dream. The images were also included in the short film produced by me and Paula Cavalcante and called “Inside the IF”, available in cyberspace.
