Abstract

The present paper aims to discuss the teaching-learning process developed in the subjects Choral conducting I and Choral conducting III in the Carlos Gomes Musical College (FMCG), in São Paulo-SP, where it was adopted the practice of spoken interpretation of texts as a mean to the exercise and improvement of the techniques of expression/ communication and performance in conducting. This practice was evaluated by means of the application of a semi-structured questionnaire to 16 (sixteen) students of the subjects, aimed at evaluating the relevance of the dynamics to the consolidation of a better performance in the direction of a musical group.
