This paper aims to compare similarities between The Passion according to G.H. by Clarice Lispector and The Obscene Madame D by Hilda Hilst, based on the concept of “thought-provoking literature” by Evando Nascimento. This theoretical contribution highlights the production of idiosyncratic reflection in the creative literary process, not through a philosophical approach, but through authorial performance by means of fictional and poetic experiments. It also seeks to show mechanisms of language elucubation associated with the initials of the characters' names in order to understand the moving atmospheres wich engenderes by them. Besides, it shows the incitation of the flow of thoughts and exercises in otherness or in otherness of self they arouse. Readings by renowned Brazilian researchers such as Silviano Santiago, Maria Rita Kehl, Eliane Robert Moraes, Alcir Pécora and José Castello in contrast or in line with other theoretical anchors and cutouts.
