Keywords:
Simulação de Gestão, Online Games, Training, Business, InternetAbstract
Games and simulations have been used in the field of education for many years, particularly in the areas of business, training staff in financial and economic skills, combat training and war gaming. Internet-based games are also commonly used in the areas of education, business and policy to provide a safe but realistic experience of the real world. This paper explores some of the rationale that a team of lecturers at the Lisbon School of Accounting and Administration (ISCAL) think should underpin simulation and game usage in an educational context, specifically in management education. Our aim with this work is about promoting learning and knowledge building through one of the latest evolved socio-cultural artifact: online simulations and games.Downloads
