WORKING AND HEALTH CONDITIONS OF HOSPITAL HEALTH WORKERS

Aim: to characterize the general conditions of work and health of the professionals in hospital, in Jequié-BA. Methods: cross-sectional study, with sample of workers of the Hospital. Results: the sociodemographic profile of the studied population points for a majority of feminine gender, between 31 and 40 years old, married, with self-declared skin color black/brown, residents in the town of Jequié and with children. Most of these professionals worked 11 years or more in this profession, with workload of 30 week hours, in addiction to exercise another remunerated activity and, expressive majority, performed domestic activities. Considerable part of the sample appreciated their current health condition, although significant amount of the professionals with various comorbidities, highlighting the high prevalence of musculoskeletal symptoms. Conclusion: the identification of the general conditions of work and major diseases that affected this public, together with the attempt of inference of the relationship between such variables, can contribute for the improvement of understanding the situation of welfare of the health workers in hospital.Downloads
