Abstract

The aim of this paper is to correlate the teachings of Chinese philosopher Confucius, and focused on the moral virtues, and the thought of the philosopher Emmanuel Levinas, directed to the radical ethics due to the great dehumanizing prevailing at the time. It also aims at focusing on the concept of Confucianism which is a collection of thoughts, rules and social rituals that were practiced by the Chinese until the fall of the imperial regime in 1911. The methodology will be through a literature review on the subject. Thus we will study the teachings of Confucius and the philosophy of Levinas, weaving a look at bias against the two thinkers.
