Abstract

The Man and the Woman. Narrates how the Great Ordering Spirit of the totality of the Universes: Pachacamac, bestowed the worlds he ordered on the man and woman, indicating their sphere of action, governance and authority revealing the secret of their existence, namely, to care-take the worlds. All the visible, all which exists and has form proceeds from the feminine world. Within the existent the invisible, all which in unseen proceeds from the masculine world. The secret revealed by Pachacamac takes on an intimate character related to identity within the principles of reciprocity, correspondence and complementariness; these are materialized in three worlds: hannaq, kay y ukhupacha. Thus, the dynamic of the secret in the Andean tradition is organized in three moments: the revelation and its enshrinement in the principles which determine, organize and constitute the Andean culture in its manifestation in the three worlds. It is the process of interaction which exercises the secret of the care-taking of the universe, one of the articulating elements of religiosity as experience with the sacred and with the educative as the mechanism and process of transmission, assimilation and transformation of ancestral wisdom and knowledge.
