Abstract

This article is a theological essay which analyzes the biblical creation narrative from the perspective of the general theory of the imaginary. It describes the inception of the constitution of two erotic corporeities, configured in the corporeities of overflow and possession. The research is descriptive and exploratory and utilizes as its method the symbolic hermeneutic analysis. We consider that the imaginary of the garden is relevant to men and women who opt not to usurp the place of the Gardiner, which action might elict the ostentation of a virile aggressiveness, rather there is a face to face conciliation process in which the individual is reconciled to him or herself, the other, the environment, and finally therefore, to God.
