Abstract

This Article proposes to present a brief genealogy of the historical path about anthropological studies about religions of African origin in Pará, pointing out ways in the bibliographic path to reflect on the Exus and Pombagiras in the Pará context, specifying the Bragantine zone, especially in the city of Igarapé-Açu. When dealing with the methodology, a brief bibliographic review was made on Afro-Brazilian religions in Para waters, together with an ethnographic essay at the Terreiro Mina Nagô Cabocla Mariana and Tapinaré das Matas, in the interior of the state, to minimally describe the cultural codes developed, reinvented and reframed by the street people in the Terreiro in question. It is perceived that the symbologies and dynamic contexts that involve these entities move in binaries as good and evil, sacred and profane, light and shadow, thus building border, marginal and transgressive identities.
