Abstract

This study aims to investigate the way in which the entity Pombagira is conceived in the imagination of Neo-Pentecostal Christians. In the current religious landscape of Brazil, there is a growing representation of followers from this segment. One of the research objectives is to present the main characteristics of this theology and the social foundations that have enabled its expansion throughout the national territory. The adopted method was the analysis of discourses observed in videos published on the YouTube platform featuring believers incorporated by the entity Pombagira in worship services held in Neo-Pentecostal churches. It was observed that the imagery of this entity is associated with a specific moral code and the determination of the woman's social place marked by submission.
