Abstract

Mental health influences and is influenced by the lifestyle adopted by individuals. Objective: to analyze the association between sociodemographic variables, including religion, lifestyle based on the Eight Natural Remedies Questionnaire (Q8RN), and the presence of Common Mental Disorders (CMD), according to the dimensions of the Self-Report Questionnaire (SRQ-20), in participants of a Virtual Health Fair. Method: This is a cross-sectional, quantitative study with a non-probabilistic sample of 954 participants. Results: Although the lifestyle was considered "good," the domains of "Physical Exercise" and "Rest/Sleep" were below average. There was a notable positive association between "Trust in God" and sociodemographic factors, with a particular emphasis on the Adventist religion. Symptoms related to the "depressive-anxious mood" dimension were the most prevalent and predominantly identified in the younger age group, up to 24 years old. Conclusion: Health promotion actions should preferably involve women, youth, and adolescents, aiming to improve self-care practices for these groups, thereby contributing to the improvement of their mental health.
