THE NARRATIVE OF THE ITAMARATY FOR THE PAN-AMERICAN OPERATION

The main objective of this paper is to present the proposal of Operation Pan American in the narrative of the Itamaraty articulated the foreign policy of the government of Juscelino Kubitschek, aiming to understand what were your goals and why its formulation. The 50s in the history of Brazil was a period of great turbulence and changes, both on the national scene and in the international. We will analyze the government of Juscelino Kubitschek and the history of the Pan American Operation, and we will analyze existing documentation from the Ministry of Foreign Relations, presenting the narrative of the Itamaraty to justify the formulation of Pan American within the government JK, presented as a standalone policy who tried to design and defend the interests of Brazil.
