Estabelishing an ontological narrative which peers the transgretions of the feminine soul, Lya Luft, to present the protagonists in the process of individuation, emphasizes some reflexes of the hidden face of the feminine psique. Considerating this peculiar feature of her production, we have intended, in this work, to show how, in O quarto fechado (2004), it occurs the process of individuation of Renata, the protagonist of the aforementioned novel. As indispensable tool of reading, we have relied on the contribution of the jungian analytical psychology, in which allows us to understand the studied work as a plot with a shadow slant in which the Death, central character, is responsable by the immersion of Renata in the dark world of her being where Shadow and Persona, two of the archetypes – that, they often influence the ego –, are highlighted, in a psychic clash which indicates the imminence of the process of individuation of the protagonist in the end of which Renata learned to transformate the unconscious into conscious and to overcome the sensations of emptiness, fear, depression, and fragility which tormented her. In short, all this process of selfkonwledge allowed her to get a bigger consciousness and maturity responsable by the balance and by the resolution of her conflicts.
