This study proposes a translation of Johan August Strindberg's poem "Lokes Smäldelser" from Swedish into Portuguese. We provide a contextualization of the playwright and the poem, followed by a brief analysis of the literary source, particularly from a synchronic literary perspective (elements of Swedish Romanticism and nationalism) that permeates the mid-19th century.
