A place to observe, to speak, to read, to buy - books and other information and leasure spaces: an analysis of Florianópolis secondhand bookshop.

Abstract

This work discourse about secondhand and antiquarian bookshops in Florianópolis city founded in the 80s years. It is a descriptive search whose method to collect data was a questionnaire, interview and observation. Through the analysis of the data collected in this search show its importance to local society and as well the objectives of these Establishment as a important centre of culture, information, and leisure.  It was shown how secondhand and antiquarian bookshops are important as a ship place of access to many cultural materials as book and others.
