The THE ANTHROPOLOGICAL HABITUS:

SOME REFLECTIONS FROM THE MEMORIALS FOR FULL PROFESSOR

Authors

Abstract

The reflection on the trajectory of anthropologists is constitutive of the field itself, however, we still examine few of the rituals of academic life, as well as the materials produced by them. Aiming to contribute to this debate, I analyze in this work the idea of an anthropological habitus, from the memorials for full professor defended in a federal public university in the southern region of Brazil. In the first moment, I present the organization of the career of a federal professor of higher education in Brazil, and, later, I examine the memorials, seeking from them to capture clues about the existence of an anthropological habitus.
