Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to discuss how the notion of writing - used by different fields of knowledge - has suffered an impoverishment in contemporary Brazilian journalism due to the predominance of techniques and theories that insist on the applicability of journalistic language as one of the sure ways of interpreting the real . In the newspapers, with very rare exceptions, the genres are unable to exceed the technical limits and carry out writing capable of improving the method of interpreting the facts. This has been practiced in disciplines such as history, anthropology and sociology.
