Galiléia: o conflito épico de um sertão urbanizado
Keywords:
Characters, Backwoods, City, Ronaldo Correia de BritoAbstract
The conflict between the urbanized city and the backwoods invaded by the urbanization
is explored in Galileia, whose characters live in conflict between their individual and family
identities. They inherit the historical conflict between the inhabitants of Rego Castro’s land and the
new urban generation. These characters personify the tragic metaphor which they became the
patriarchal property of the Cearense backwoods.
