This essay intends to investigate some aspects related to the resignification of lived experience in the movie O jardineiro fiel by Fernando Meirelles, mainly observing time manipulation that reconstruct experience (W. Benjamin). At the same time our purpose is to observe strategies involved in difference perception, both as uneasiness and fascination, in the couple's life and in the relathionship with the African "Other", taking into acccount the regimes of focusing.
