Abstract

This text, with some alterations, is part of the methodology of a broader study which investigated the dicursive practice of a female teacher engaged in a meaning construing activity in a reading class in a university classroom. It focuses on ethnographic research and the discursive elements (narration, description, interpretation and comprehension) applied to the analysis of the object of study.
