Why does Fake News have space on social media?
a discussion in the light of infocommunicational behavior

Displays user behavior when interacting with fake news in the context of social media. The purpose was to discuss the informational context of users who use social media to propagate false information and characteristics of the scenarios currently used in digital social media. In this sense, it aims to understand the behavior of users who use their social networks on the Internet as a means of communication to search and retrieve information. The specific objectives were to analyze the behavior of users on digital social media in the face of Fake News and to identify which features are highlighted as necessary to counter the spread of fake news on the Internet. The methodology is composed by research with qualitative approach, with a descriptive method, of the bibliographic type. Made a contextualization between the new digital reality and all social classes, taking into consideration that the younger and more educated are the ones that access the Internet the most. As a result, it highlights some features that may be necessary for user behavior, aimed at countering the proliferation of false news by digital means. It concludes by pointing out the importance of considering the informational behavior of users in the face of social media, especially regarding the identification, dissemination, diffusion and recovery of false and true news through digital social media.
