Abstract

Considering knowledge networks in the organizational context can enable a better use of information and knowledge as resources in the organization. With that, the management of these resources can be better performed. Thus, organizations must consider the process of mapping their information sources and information flows as a structuring basis for the construction of new organizational knowledge. Mapping knowledge networks in scenarios with little perception of the importance of knowledge as a resource, makes it possible to highlight these resources. The industries are immersed in a large number of information and knowledge, however, they do not have in their culture the valorization and use of knowledge and information. With this, it becomes important the subjects that compose these organizations, as well as their relationships in the processes that involve knowledge and information. The research was carried out at Danilla Foods, an industry whose core business is the construction of new products, that is, through innovations, since its manufacture is outsourced to a third company. In this way, understanding your knowledge network, as well as building a sociogram of the relationship situation, becomes key sources for success in the industry's innovation process. After analyzing and constructing the sociogram, it was identified that information and knowledge are centralized in a few individuals. This situation calls attention, since there are few processes in the context of the industry that allow the mass sharing of sharing and information, thus being able to compromise the construction of knowledge in a structured way.
