DO BANHO “DE CHUVA” E OUTRAS “DANAÇÕES”: SOCIABILIDADES NOS “TEMPOS DE MENINOS” EM FORTALEZA (1890-1940)

Abstract

Between “a Thousand ways of unauthorized hunting” which are part of everyday life the methods in which water is managed in urban environment are extremely significant. It is aimed at to bring up the discussion about changes in which the city of Fortaleza has passed through concerned to water sociability, what is considered to be at the same time a tense and creative relation between its usage and formal norms. As from kid’s showering in the rain, and also into Fortaleza’s streams and lakes it is possible to consider about changes occurred in the city and the reasons for which they happened. Modifications on facades, on the streets, and in sensibilities impelled changes in what is related to the kid’s showering and in their ways of using and inventing the city. The set of time chosen – from 1890 to 1940 – embraces the period of time in which it can be found reminiscences and reports based on the studied authors’ ideas, and also for including important interventions such as: water supply for a part of the city, expansion of streets and the lines of horse-drawn, implementation of street-cars and etc. In a way that altered Fortaleza’s water dynamic.
