Abstract

This work aims to analyze the relationship between Anthropology and Education based on a comparison between two undergraduate courses (Social Sciences and Pedagogy) at the State University of Piauí (UESPI). It is important to highlight that until recently, the university did not have professionals trained in Anthropology. Thus, we intend to understand the challenges of teaching Anthropology at a university in the interior of northeastern Brazil that has few professionals with training in the area. Therefore, at the same time as the demand for this type of professional increases, undergraduate courses are suffering from an unprecedented crisis in attracting young students to a teaching career.
