Abstract

Literary Page, this is the first column of many journals in which feminist and curitiban Leonor Castellano (1899-1969) also participated in 1924, was still a member of the Center Paranaense Women’s Center of Culture and Center of Arts of Parana. The centers frequented by Castellano were of great intellectual movement during the Twentieth century. In this bias, I analyze publications of the writer, within a perspective of what would have been her intellectual trajectory, however, linking that idea to the matters discussed in her context, such as feminism and nationalism. The feminism of the “first wave” allowed many women would claim their rights suffragists, labor, among others, a time in history also marked by world wars and, in Brazil, by an authoritarian government that used conservative gender relations to strengthen exacerbated nationalism. The publications of Leonor Castellano represent an act of making a place for themselves.
