Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement requirements:

As a publisher of scholarly journals and books, UFPB Press (Editora da Universidade Federal da Paraíba, Brazil) is committed to meeting high standards of ethical behaviour at all stages of the publication process, as we demonstrate below. 

However, if any possible reader believes that research published by the UFPB Press has not been carried out in line with the principles of established norms of publishing and printing in national and international spheres, he/she should raise their concerns with the relevant editor, or contact the Printing house through the address: atendimento.editora.ufpb@gmail.com

Revista Ártemis (2316-5251 / 1807-8214) has always taken steps to identify and prevent the publication of texts where research misconduct has occurred, avoiding it to take place. 

In case we are made aware of any allegation of research misconduct, we take attitude in not accepting the text to be published.

We have guidelines for retracting or correcting articles when needed.

We are willing to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when needed.

Editorial Board

We have a qualified editorial board, as can be verified in our webpage (https://periodicos.ufpb.br/ojs2/index.php/artemis/about/editorialTeam), formed by Consulting an editorial consulting board and editorial managers.

Authors and Authors responsibilities: there are no fees or charges required for manuscript processing and/or publishing materials at Revista Ártemis as clearly stated in our webpage; author(s) are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes; authors should provide a list of references, financial support, if any; it is forbidden to publish a text in more than one journal.

Peer-review process: all texts are subjected to peer-review, that is, exposed to the reading of at least two individual reviewers’ expert in the field of publication; the process is clearly described on our journal’s web site; judgments and findings in the peer-review process are objective, according to defined norms of evaluation; reviewers should have no conflict of interest; reviewers should point out relevant published work which is not yet cited; and reviewed articles should be treated confidentially prior to their publication.

Copyright and access: copyright and licensing information shall bare clearly described on the journal’s web site; and the way(s) in which the journal and individual articles are available to readers and there are no pay-per-view fees.

Archiving: we have an electronic backup and preservation of access to the journal content at the basis of UFPB Press database.

Ownership and management:  ownership and/or management of a journal is clearly indicated on the journal’s web site, that is, it is maintained and organized by two Graduate programs of UFPB – in Literature and Sociology;

The web site: our journal’s web site demonstrate that we have taken care to ensure high ethical and professional standards.

Publishing schedule: our serial publication follows the periodicity of having two numbers a year, as it is informed in our front page.

Name of the journal:  Revista Ártemis has already established itself in the gender and feminist area of academic discussion, its name being highly recognized in Brazil and abroad.
