This article analyzes from the perspective of the Decolonial Giro the processes of capturing and organizing information and knowledge carried out by professionals in Information Science. The methodology deals with a bibliographic mapping in the selection of knowledge capture procedures in semasiological and onomasiological approaches, which are articulated dialogically based on the identification of Decolonial precepts. A Decolonial dialogical panorama is described about the role of Information Science professionals who organize and represent information and knowledge in algorithmic-based information systems. It is concluded that the process of capturing knowledge in its semasiological and onomasiological approaches presupposes a conditioning in the analysis and representation of social and cultural aspects, which weighs on the interpretation and concatenation on the part of the professional, whose perception falls on the construction of domains, something that must also be guided by Decolonial knowledge to instrumentalize reflection and combat mechanisms for reproducing the colonizer's patrimonial manifesto through the hegemony of knowledge, cultures and peoples in idealism, capitalism, modernity, racism and patriarchy that are subject to capillarization in systems of representation and organization of knowledge with degrading consequences for users oppressed by the specters of modernity and coloniality.
