Abstract

This text is related to music education, identity and culture, with emphasis on an educational perspective that suggests the articulation between the formal and informal processes. It supports a music education perspective that relates to the mobilizing power of culture, that is balanced, that is musical, and may contribute to a more humanized world. It presents pedagogical suggestions to develop articulation and dialogue with culture (PONTES approach) and a graphic representation that can be used for the development of music curricula.
