Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Journal "Direitos Humanos e Transdisciplinaridade" accepts scientific works in the format of articles, and is open to contributions from various fields of knowledge, with a maximum of five (5) authors, without restrictions regarding academic degree or professional status.

To submit your contribution, it is necessary to register on the official website of Direitos Humanos e Transdisciplinaridade. The submission must be original and unpublished, and not under review in another journal; otherwise, a justification must be provided in the “Comments to the Editor” section. The submission file must be in an editable format (Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF), without any form of author identification.

The article must include a title, abstract, and keywords in two languages (Portuguese, Spanish, or English). The content of the article must include an introduction (with a description of the methodological path), development, final considerations, and bibliographic references, and must be written in Portuguese.

Submissions must be made exclusively through the journal's platform. All submissions must follow the style guidelines and bibliographic requirements described in the “Instructions for Authors”.

Instructions for Authors

Articles: must be between a minimum of 12 pages and a maximum of 20 pages, including abstract and bibliographic references.
Format: A4 size paper, typed in Arial font size 12; line spacing: 1.5; margins: top 3 cm, bottom 3.5 cm, left 3 cm, right 3.5 cm.
Title: should be centered, in uppercase and bold; Arial font, size 14.
Abstract: in the same language as the text, containing 10 to 12 lines, in Arial font size 10, single spacing, in a single paragraph, accompanied by three to five keywords. The abstract should provide a concise presentation of the article’s relevant points, briefly explaining the issues addressed in the introduction, the research objective, methodological path, results, and conclusion. Below the abstract, the title and abstract must also be provided in another language (in English or Spanish), following the same formatting guidelines for the title and abstract.
Citations: up to 3 lines should be included in the body of the text, within quotation marks and followed by the appropriate references. Citations of more than 3 lines should be highlighted from the body of the text in Arial font size 10, single spacing, justified alignment, with a 4 cm indentation from the left margin. Direct or indirect citations of information expressed by other authors must follow the author-date system in accordance with current ABNT standards. Example: (Author's last name, year, page).
Footnotes: should be limited to explanatory notes, sequentially numbered in Arabic numerals, and formatted as follows: Arial font size 10, single line spacing, and justified alignment.
Bibliographic References:
(Book) Must appear at the end of the text following ABNT standards. Example:
