The personal data provided to the journal Informação & Sociedade (such as names, email addresses, academic degrees, institutional affiliations, and ORCID iDs) will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of editorial management, double-blind peer review, publication, and scientific communication. This data will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party incompatible with academic activities.
The processing of registered information is carried out in strict compliance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13.709/2018) and aligns with international data protection regulations (such as the GDPR), observing the principles of security, transparency, purpose limitation, and data minimization.
Metadata Sharing and Indexing: By submitting a manuscript, authors acknowledge that, upon acceptance and publication of the article, authorship metadata (full name, ORCID iD, institutional affiliation, and optionally, contact email) will become public. As part of the journal's commitment to the visibility and transparency of science, this metadata will be harvested by and shared with persistent identifier registration agencies (such as Crossref for DOI registration) as well as national and international databases, repositories, and indexing services.
