The editorial team of the journal Informação & Sociedade is pleased to announce the opening of the manuscript submission flow for its Volume 36 (2026).

For this new edition, the journal reinforces its commitment to academic excellence, methodological rigor, and best practices for transparency in scientific communication.

Submission Guidelines Highlights:

  • Required Degree: All authors must hold a completed undergraduate degree, and it is mandatory that at least one author holds a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent).

  • Double-Blind Review: The journal strictly adopts double-blind peer review. To ensure the integrity and confidentiality of this process, manuscripts previously deposited in preprint servers or institutional repositories are not accepted.

  • Transparency and Authorship: Providing the ORCID iD for all authors in the metadata of our OJS platform is mandatory. Individual contributions must be described according to the CRediT taxonomy.

  • Use of Artificial Intelligence: The use of generative AI to support research is permitted, provided it is explicitly and fully declared in the Methodology section, in accordance with our updated editorial policy.

  • Diamond Open Access: The journal does not charge submission or processing fees (APC). Approved articles will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license (CC BY), ensuring that authors retain their copyright and maximizing the impact and citation of the research.

How to Submit: Manuscripts must be strictly formatted using the journal's official template (according to ABNT standards) and submitted electronically through our OJS platform.

We invite the entire scientific community to consult the complete Author Guidelines on the journal's portal and submit their research for evaluation.

We look forward to your contribution!
