Abstract

Apresenta informações relacionadas aos Centros Populares de Documentação e Comunicação (CPDCs) paraibanos com base em uma pesquisa realizada junto a esses Centros, para análise de sua atuação. Enfoca aspectos relacionados à sua localização e origem, instalações, nível de atuação, recursos humanos e financeiros, atividades desenvolvidas, acervo, usuários e divulgação de produtos e serviços. Os resultados mostram que os CPDCs representam para a Paraíba modelos de organização civil que se identificam com as causas populares e buscam a transformação da realidade social.
