Abstract

Mapping of research in Information Science in Brazil based on information available on Lattes Platform, specifically in version 5.0 of Research Groups Directory in Brazil (2004) and Lattes Curriculum, maintained by Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). It identifies 101 groups, 239 research areas and 963 researchers. It analyses the research areas of the research groups, the time of their creation, their geographical distribution, their members’ profiles and their scientific production.
