THE USE OF DEPARTMENTAL PORTALS IN THE MANAGEMENT PROCESS OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT: THE CASE OF UNISYS BRAZIL
Abstract
The development of softwares by teams geographically apart brings the challenge of how to manage people and resources in distinct space and time. Tools as corporate intranets have been used in this way. This article, through a bibliographic review, describes the environment of software development by such teams, as well as the importance of the software configuration management and presents the portals solutions as an alternative. It analyzes the case of the departmental portal for management of the software development processes in a division of Unisys Brazil, the Unisys Global Outsourcing. Besides, this article presents directions for future works.Downloads
