THE PROJECT NETWORK FOR NÚCLEO TEMÁTICO DA SECA AT UFRN AS A POSSIBILITY FOR SOCIALIZATION OF INFORMATION

Abstract

This work deals with the methodology used in the Revitalization of the Núcleo Temático da Seca - Nut-Seca at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. This is done through the social responsability perspective of the Information Science. The research proposes how to treat the information stocks at Nut-Seca, using tools for organizing, and disseminating information. A network of projects composed by memory workshop, conceptual maps, information retrieval system and the digital library was used in order to achieve the objectives. Those projects aim to transform the conventional information stocks into digital objects. It can be concluded through these practises that it will be possible to have a wider range of information which may reach a greater quantity of both, local and remote users.
