Abstract

To understand what is happening it is often enlightening to direct our attention to the past. From this perspective, I do in this essay an approach to the history of the epidemics which occurred in particular in the city of Paris. From this, I intend to draw conclusions that could help us understand the situation created by the COVID-19 epidemic, as well as various options to face its consequences socially and medically.
